Conditions of Hire

Artists in Suffolk receive priority with bookings on a first come, first served basis. The equipment is to be used for displaying artwork, not for making it

The hire of equipment is free for Artists
A fee will be charged to Arts Organisations
Equipment will not be hired out for use on non-arts projects

The loan period is from Wednesday – Tuesday

Collection and Return 10am - 3pm.
Please note: items cannot be collected or returned before 10am or after 3pm

Items can only be collected and returned by prior arrangement

Loan requests and proof of insurance must be submitted at least one month before the hire period

Anyone who borrows equipment is responsible for insuring it and must return proof of insurance with the request form

A deposit of £30 per item must be left when collecting equipment and will be returned when equipment is returned. (please make cheques payable to Ipswich Borough Council). This will not be returned if equipment is lost or recklessly damaged in any way.

Insurance hints: Try to get insurance from the venue where your work will be displayed
you could try to extend your house insurance, but this must be checked with your insurer
3rd party cover will not suffice.

If you are unable to provide insurance for the items, a cheque for the full insurance value of the equipment must be left as a deposit

These items are being loaned in good faith, please contact us immediately if items are lost or damaged

Please note that there are limited resources available. Please let us know as soon as possible if your project is cancelled and you no longer require the loan
