LIGHTSHIPS
Mark Dixon

Grafton House, Russell Road

New commissioned work at Grafton House by Mark Dixon. The work has been incorporated into the entrance windows of the building so that it is visible from both inside and outside. The work reflects the historical relationship of the Grafton name to the new building and the vicinity to where the building is sited but the way it has been made looks to a contemporary vision and context of Ipswich. The work is also inspired by communication, using new LED technology that is on the edge of development; the work will interact with its viewers.
