ARTISTS’ TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. A listing on the DIRECTORY OF ARTISTS is open and free to all practising professional visual artists who complete the necessary Application Form(s) and submit these to Ipswich Borough Council (‘the Council’) along with evidence of status reasonably required by to be part of the Directory. The Council reserves the right to refuse any application without giving reasons.
2. The Council may change the eligibility and application requirements at any time without giving notice.
3. The Council reserves the right to remove, exclude or edit any material supplied by you for the Directory without giving reasons. The Council also reserves the right to remove whole artists’ entries on the site if it deems it necessary.
4. The visuals or other materials or extracts or any part of them that you supply for the Directory may be used by the Council in one or more of the following ways, and you will not receive any payment from the Council for those uses: on the internet, any other electronic or non electronic form or medium determined by the Council, reproduction of any materials for the purpose of promoting the Directory or the work of the Visual Arts Ipswich and for educational purposes.
5. You confirm that you are the owner(s) of the copyright and other like rights in the images supplied to the Council or (if not the case) that you are authorised by the copyright owner(s) and grant the Council the licences to use them.
6. The Council cannot be responsible for any errors omissions or inaccuracies in the content of the directory.
7. The Council does not guarantee that you will be credited whenever materials are reproduced or published in association with the directory.
8. The Council can accept no responsibility for any unauthorised use or reproduction of materials by third parties.
9. You may request the Council via Visual Arts Ipswich to remove your entry or any Materials from the directory by giving at least 30 days notice in writing at any time. The Council does not guarantee that information held in the public domain (e.g. on Internet search engines) which refers to your material being on the directory is removed at the same time.
10. The Council may make any reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions at anytime without giving notice to you.
11. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law. DATA PROTECTION
1. Ipswich Borough Council will use and process the personal data supplied by you for the purpose of maintaining and operating the Directory. This includes your contact details and other information comprised in the materials, [including ‘sensitive personal data’ comprising information on race and ethnic origin which is optional but which the Council via Visual Arts Ipswich collects in order to monitor compliance with anti-discrimination legislation and which may be relevant for certain Directory users]
2. All the Materials supplied by you on Registration and subsequently will be available for public access on the Directory including Artists’ email addresses, but excluding Artists’ addresses and telephone numbers. 3. Ipswich Borough Council via Visual Arts Ipswich may contact Artists from time to time to inform them of work opportunities and to keep them informed about Visual Arts Ipswich.
4. From time to time Ipswich Borough Council may also pass Artists’ contact details to selected third parties who may wish to contact Artists by telephone, post or email with details of products or services which Ipswich Borough Council considers may be of interest to you
5. By submitting the Application Form, Artists consent to the processing of their personal data as stated above. DON’T FORGET TO SEND IMAGES!
Up to four images of your work will be included on the site. Please attach digital images to the email address below. The images MUST be clearly captioned with your name, the title and the date of the work.
