THG Annual Open Exhibition
Wildlife – Ipswich

Previous Open’s have posed themes inviting broad responses about the ‘changing’ face of Ipswich, ‘impressions’ of the Town and its ‘people’. This year’s exhibition looks at the Wild side of Ipswich. The idiosyncratic characters that lurk around the streets or the arbitrary animals you see every day either living or adorning our built surroundings. Interpretations have been welcomed from across the community of artists, students and outsiders, from all generations. The display will show over 70 artworks exhibiting responses across a range of disciplines and media; traditional approaches to the natural form such as drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking, as well as more contemporary, experimental or interactive methods including graphic design, new media and performance.
