03 December 2005 - 26 February 2006

This exhibition was curated by David Musgrave, a leading figure in an emerging generation
of British Artists. Featuring a mix of contemporary and historical work, David Musgrave presented new work by himself and his contemporaries in juxtaposition with a nineteenth century lithograph by Georg Scharf from the National History Museum and a drawing by
French surrealist Yves Tanguy.
Waste Material was about time, matter and the imaginary. Featuring a selection of works,
from sculpture, to prints, drawing and small-scale paintings, the artists in Waste Material
were exploring materials, forms and imagination.
A 24-page catalogue with eleven full-colour illustrations and text by David Musgrave accompanied Waste Material click here for more
Waste Material has been organised in collaboration with The Drawing Room, London
and funded by Arts Council England, London and The Foyle Foundation.
